What you can send back, what it costs you, and what we will not take. This page restates section 20 of the Terms of Service and Sale in plainer words. It does not add anything to those terms and it does not take anything away.
The Terms are the contract you accepted at checkout. If anything on this page reads differently from section 20, section 20 governs.
New, unopened items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. The clock starts at delivery, not at the order.
This is in addition to any rights mandatory consumer protection law gives you where you live. Nothing on this page removes those.
Opened means opened. A module that has left its packaging is not an unopened return, and neither is a kit you have started building. That is the trade for a policy with no restocking inspection to argue about: it is decided by the seal, not by our opinion of the condition.

| Before the order is processed | Free |

| Payment taken, not yet shipped | A 3.5 percent payment processing fee is not refundable |
| In fulfilment, or already shipped | A restocking fee of up to 10 percent may apply, for handling, inspection and administration |
Cancel as early as you can. Orders are normally handed to the carrier within one to four business days of payment clearing, so the free window is short.
There is no warranty. Section 12 of the Terms sells every product AS IS and AS AVAILABLE, with all faults, and disclaims every express, implied and statutory warranty, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The 30 day unopened return above, plus whatever mandatory law gives you, is the whole of what you get.
We would rather say that plainly here than let you find it in a clause after something has failed. These are modules for integration into a system you design and validate, and the reason the price is what it is, is that we are not carrying the risk of the system you build around them.
Two rights cannot be contracted away, and are not. In Quebec, the Consumer Protection Act carries a legal warranty a merchant cannot exclude against a consumer. In the EU and the UK, a consumer buying at a distance has a 14 day right of withdrawal that cannot be refused. Where either applies to you, it applies regardless of section 12.
We can only refund an order we took the payment for. If you bought from Amazon, RobotShop, Elecrow or Lectronz, start the return with them, and their returns policy governs that sale. The Terms still govern the product itself.
An order placed through Lectronz carries the EU 14 day right of withdrawal, and Lectronz handles it. That is one of the reasons EU orders under $165 are routed there.
Not sure where you bought it? Our authorised channels
If an order ships and is returned to us undelivered, we will try to reach you and allow two weeks for a reply. After that the order is marked abandoned and no refund is issued. That is section 19, and it is the reason to check your address at checkout.
These are real gaps, not omissions. We would rather list them than publish a number we cannot stand behind.
